Before new machinery gets to work on Australian soil, it first has to pass through quarantine. Every bolt, track and bucket must be spotless. Hidden in that dirt could be seeds, insects or disease capable of damaging our environment and agricultural industry.
That’s where Right Wash steps in. Based at the Port of Brisbane, Daniel Warman and his team clean everything from small tools and lawnmowers to 793 dump trucks and full-sized locomotives. Every job must meet strict quarantine standards before the machines are cleared to leave the port.

Long Days, Tough Jobs, Real Pride
“It’s tough work,” Daniel says. “We start before the sun comes up. We’re on top of machines, under machines, pulling them apart, cleaning every inch. Some are so dirty it takes over 100 hours to get through them.”
It’s hot, wet, heavy work - but Daniel wouldn’t trade it. “The satisfying part is seeing the end result. You start with a machine caked in mud and finish with something that’s spotless. It feels good knowing you’re doing something important for the country.”
Australia’s First Line of Defence
Right Wash is part of Australia’s first line of defence, removing biosecurity risks before they reach farms or construction sites. “If we don’t do our job right, that dirt can carry grass seed, insects, even foreign diseases that could damage the agricultural industry,” Daniel says. “We’re keeping Australia safe. That makes me proud.”

The Right Wash team relies on equipment that works as hard as they do.
