AMA Precast, a leader in concrete precast manufacturing, recently opened a purpose-built production facility in Victoria to support growing demand.

The Problem

With the new larger facility, came two unique cleaning zones:

  1. A dedicated exposed aggregate wash station for cleaning tools and rubber casting mats
  2. An outdoor wash bay for removing semi-cured concrete from casting forms

Both areas required specialist pressure cleaning solutions that could deliver the right power, preserve equipment, reduce rework and improve operator safety.

The Solution

A site assessment by a SPITWATER Solution Specialist helped determine the optimal pressure levels, water flow rates and access requirements for both wash zones, ensuring that each solution was matched to the task and the layout of the new facility.

SPITWATER designed and delivered a complete cleaning solution that included two specialised pressure washers, smart operator-friendly layouts and ongoing servicing through the Preventative Maintenance Program.

  • SPITWATER HP201S: With 200 Bar (2900 psi) and a high flow rate of 21 L/min.  
  • Supplied with fan and turbo nozzles to allow for precise pressure control.
    • The turbo nozzle channels the machine’s full pressure into a narrow, rotating jet for maximum impact.
    • A fan nozzle is ideal for even removal of soft concrete layers and safe cleaning of rubber casting mats without risk of surface damage.
  • Wall-Mounted Retractable Reel with 20m Hose to improve workflow and reduce trip hazards.
  • FlowRPM Cement, Concrete & Scale followed by our Blue Truck Wash.
  • System layout designed for quick access, safe operation and efficient tool handling.
Outdoor Casting Form Wash Bay
  • SPITWATER HP3523 Industrial Electrical Pressure Cleaner:Offers 350 Bar pressure and 23 LPM flow, this machine has the extra grunt required to strip semi-dried concrete from casting forms quickly and cleanly.
  • Wall-Mounted Retractable Reel with 20m Hose to improve workflow and reduce trip hazards.
  • System layout designed for quick access, safe operation and efficient tool handling.
 
SPITWATER Preventative Maintenance Program (PM Program)
  • Regular on-site servicing aligned with the facility’s production schedule.
  • Prevents unplanned downtime, especially during critical pours.
  • Extends equipment lifespan and ensures maximum system uptime.

This tailored setup transformed a previously slow, labour-intensive job into a faster, more effective process - saving time, reducing manual effort and protecting vessel performance.

  • Perfect pressure, every time: The HP201S delivers just the right amount of pressure to clean aggregate and casting mats without damage. Fan jets offer even removal, while turbo nozzles provide added muscle when needed.
  • Fast, deep clean for casting forms: The 5000 PSI unit (HP3523) makes short work of semi-dried concrete, leaving forms clean and ready for immediate reuse - no soaking, no scraping, no delays.
  • Better panels, less rework: Cleaner forms produce cleaner finishes. Less rework means lower production costs and better consistency.
  • Operator safety built in: Key start switches and hose reel placement were designed with operator ergonomics and safety in mind.
